BROWN OWL

Is actually Helen, and has been at 1st Woolston for 20 years, and started as our Snowy Owl. She is also our registered First Aider, but thankfully she hasn’t been needed for ages! Helen works at the local college assisting foreign students, and is also about to enroll on a course to teach English as a Foreign Language. 


TAWNY OWL

also known as Katie, has been with this unit pretty much since being a Brownie herself. She returned as a Guide to do her 'Service Flash' badge and never left! After graduating University in 2007 with a BSc in Forensic Biology, Katie had a short stint as a computer programmer but has since got a job in London at University College, but this hasn’t stopped her dedication. She has also recently achieved her Pack Holiday licence, and is looking forward to taking the girls on many holidays together.
Katie is also the leader of one of the local Rainbow Units which meet on Monday evenings.

EAGLE OWL

is Abi. and much like Katie-she has been with the unit since being a Brownie herself. She is currently studying Chemistry at Southampton University, and is about to take part in a placement year in Switzerland. You may also see Abi at her part time job to fund her study.

SNOWY OWL (Our Unit Helper)
Aimee is our unit helper. She leads a busy life, holding down many jobs trying to gain experience and start a career working with animals after gaining an animal management certificate from Sparshot College.
