Pack Holidays are always something the girls at Brownies look forward to and now our Tawny Owl has FINALLY achieved her Pack Holiday Licence, and we are looking forward to many more pack holidays together!

Our first Pack Holiday, for Tawny’s Licence Test, was held at Pauline’s Lodge in Hampshire in February 2008, and the theme was Alice in Wonderland (coincidently, this was the theme of Tawny’s first pack holiday as a brownie too!).

The girls enjoyed many activities and crafts over the course of the weekend, including games, making a pair of Rabbit ears, making jam tarts, card guard marionettes, a trail to find the Naive of Hearts and many many more!

 

For many of the girls, it was their first time ever away from home, and we did have a few tears, but a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows soon dried them.

This year, we are planning to go to Ferny Crofts in the New Forest, Hampshire at the end of May. The girls can look forward to many activities, games, puzzels, crafts and challenges! More details, and hopefully some photos, will be added to the site soon.
